What we're looking for
- Real weather Storms, snow, fog, ice, wild skies, flooding, rainbows — the stuff that makes you grab a phone.
- Landscape helps The channel is a 16:9 screen, so wide shots fill it best. Vertical clips still get used in Shorts.
- Short clips Ten to thirty seconds is perfect. Long videos get trimmed.
- Your own work Only send what you shot. Screenshots of someone else's photo, or anything off TV, can't be used.
- Safety first Never put yourself near a storm for a shot. Nothing on this channel is worth that.
- No people front and center Especially children — weather is the subject, and it keeps everyone's privacy simple.
What happens next
A real person reviews every submission, usually within a few days. If yours runs, it shows up in the gallery with your credit and location, and goes into the rotation of viewer photos on the channel. If it doesn't, nothing happens — we delete the file. Changed your mind, or want something taken down? Email retroweatherrewind@gmail.com and it comes down.
Photos are re-saved before publishing, which strips the EXIF data your camera embedded — including the GPS coordinates. The only location that ever appears is the one you typed above.
